For our two year anniversary, Daniel showed up at my door with the biggest grin on his face and dozen roses in hand! ☺️

As we exchanged hugs and kissys, all I could think about was when I had time to wrap his gift because it literally arrived on my doorstep just an hour before he came! I'm still so happy and in awe at how it arrived on time though, since I was worried all week that I would be empty handed on our special day! πŸ˜₯

Before we got to the gift exchange though, we headed out for dinner at Jamie's Italian. We had their bruschetta for appetizers and it was honestly SO good! Like I catch myself thinking about it sometimes?! HAHA πŸ˜‚

When I saw that they offered gnocchi for one of their mains, my mind was quickly made up. If you know me, you would know that I have an obsession with potatoes!!! I love them fried, mashed, boiled, baked, and any other way you can cook it. πŸ˜‚

To top off the night, Daniel bought me my favourite treats... m-m-macarons!!! After dinner, I handed him my gift and he had so many questions once he saw the box of jigsaw puzzle. I answered all of his nosy questions and told him that this was only a small part, and a clue, to the surprise I had for him on the weekend!!! πŸ˜‰

As the days were leading up to my surprise, I was getting more antsy and tempted to tell him what I had in store for him. On the day of, he still didn't want me to tell him what we were doing and wanted to piece it together himself as we went along.

He eventually clued in that we were going to take a private jet to get an aerial view of Toronto, while we sipped on sparkling rosΓ©.

I knew that he always wanted to go "roof topping," but he wasn't down to break any trespassing laws. I figured that this flight was the next best thing to get a great glimpse of the city!

I purposely booked our departure time for when the sun is setting to get amazing views of when the sky looked like cotton candy!

However, in exchange for seeing the sun setting, we had to deal with the "noise" we were going to get in our photos. Regardless, the beautiful sunset, twinkling city lights and smooth flight made it an overall amazing experience!

After the trip, Daniel told me he had no idea how he was going to top this next year. We figured that the only way was to travel somewhere tropical together! We currently have a trip planned for Punta Cana next summer, so we'll see how broke we are after that.... πŸ˜‚

As for his gift, he got me a mini Kate Spade leather backpack that I could use when we go on adventures!! ☺️

I've been looking for a small backpack for a while now and he has been sending me a bunch of suggestions. When I told him that one of his sent images were "nice," this guy orders it a minute later. I have nooo words. He also can't stop complimenting me whenever I wear it now! πŸ˜‚

After our flight, we couldn't wait to go home to eat my mom's spring rolls, so we made a pit stop and got some poutine to suppress our hunger in the meantime. (Thanks again Dan for making a sacrifice and not ordering the "chicken inferno" poutine, since I can't eat it. You da real MVP!!!)

Once we got home and had dinner, we attempted to build the jigsaw puzzle I got for him! Since we didn't have time to sip on the rosΓ© during our flight (because we were too distracted by the view), we enjoyed it with my leftover Halloween candy. LOL

The puzzle was a lot harder to complete than I thought, but it was so rewarding when we finally figured it all out! I loved the puzzle so much that I asked Dan if I could keep his gift... which he obviously wasn't going to let happen. I just love how the heart piece in the middle of the heart puzzle is where we first met!!! πŸ’˜

Happy two year anniversary and early birthday to my favourite little human bean. Looking forward to wiggling with you at the concert tonight and celebrating your birthday tomorrow!!!
