As this year comes to a close, I’ve been reflecting on the moments and people that made it unforgettable. From quiet, everyday joys to life’s big milestones, 2024 was a year of love and connection.
Daniel and I tied the knot in a private civil ceremony last November and celebrated with our loved ones this July. Looking back at the photos and videos from our wedding, I feel immense gratitude for our bridal party. They brought so much energy and laughter to the journey, executed every idea we had, kept us well-fed and well-rested, and helped us stay present in every moment.
This year, I came to appreciate just how rare and important it is to have close friendships as an adult. I’m so grateful for the friends who showed up for us and made time for countless last-minute hangouts. Some of my favourite moments were simple: lounging on the couch, sharing tea at a café, or running errands together.
After the wedding, Daniel and I planned our dream honeymoon: a three-week trip through Europe. We indulged in the best seafood platter in the south of France, went paragliding in Switzerland, and rode Vespas through Italy’s rolling countryside.
I embraced spontaneity this year, reminding myself to say "yes" to more experiences with loved ones. I saw Adele in Vegas for my birthday, planned a last-minute trip to Vancouver with my parents, and finally tried deep-dish pizza in Chicago to celebrate Daniel's birthday.
Most importantly, I learned to prioritize rest. Slowing down has brought me more contentment than I’ve ever felt, and I’m ending the year feeling fulfilled and at peace. I can’t wait to see what the new year has in store for me and my best friend for life!
