Certified

This coming August will mark my third year working part-time as a receptionist at the podiatry office!!!



I still gotta thank my sister for passing down this receptionist job to me! I have been asked many times... what exactly is a podiatrist?



 To put it in simple words... it's basically a doctor who treats... FEET. Yeah... believe me... I've seen... a lot of... interesting things over these years and learned a lot of new terms. :-)



This summer, I'm working full-time at the office... but not as a receptionist. I mean, I am still working as a receptionist for my usual shifts (Thursday evenings and Saturday mornings) but for the other days, I work as a nurse in the back!



I'm basically a certified podiatry nurse who didn't get any education ...or in other words... I'm a certified FOOT NURSE! Oh gosh. Hahaha! Some of my tasks includes taking x-rays, lotioning feet (with gloves on, of course!!!), vacuuming (my favourite part)...



and casting patients for orthotics! Orthotics are simply devices that people put in their shoes if they experience tiredness or cramping in their feet



...and they solve 70% of our patients' problems here at the office!!! Honestly... dealing with feet may sound gross but the perks and raises compensates for the number of feet I have to lotion!!!! If y'all have any feet problem or know someone that does, COME TO ME TO BOOK AN APPOINTMENT TODAY!!! I'm actually serious!



I want to thank my gurl Mads for letting me practice making orthotics on her Monday afternoon,



and her lil' sis and best friend for considering me as their homegurl now! They're so cute! Ugh. It was just a great afternoon to unwind to after an eight hour shift!





Before I end this, I have something SO EXCITING to share! ARE YOU READY???



My cousin Nancy just gave me my very belated birthday present and it was so worth the wait because...
