Daniel and I really thought we were going to keep it low-key on New Year's Eve, until my sister invited us to join her and her cute lil' family at Winterfest, and Sarah and Adrian invited us over to their place to countdown together!
I haven't been to Canada's Wonderland in years, and haven't visited during the winter before either. They've really transformed it for this season, which made it feel like you were at a mini Disneyland!
My niece's face lit up when she arrived and was so stoked to go on all the rides and take photos with all their light displays and decor. We even saw Elsa!
Every now and then, a small band would walk by us and Mya would stare at them in awe and bounced up and down to the beat of their drum. I love how she gets excited about the little things.
I'm pretty sure this will be the last age where I can carry her like this because she's already half my size!
You already know we couldn't leave without getting their signature funnel cake. We were also surprised to see that they sell churro donuts now!
We spent the rest of the evening playing board games at our friends' place and popping two bottles of champagne at midnight.
As I look back on this past year, I feel incredibly grateful for the health of my friends and family and for all the exciting opportunities. I've had my share of breakdowns, but also breakthroughs. I learned to be more kind to myself and also realized that the amount of extraordinary things that happen in life really depends on what you choose to focus on.
And with that said, I can't wait to see what 2022 holds and to bring you guys along on my adventures! Also, here's baby Levi having fomo, while we were out prancing in the cold last night...
