One Year Engagement

Today marks one year since Daniel proposed and so far, we've secured our venues, found my dress and done an engagement shoot! I knew I wanted the photo session to be candid, casual and... creative. I also knew I wanted to feature the CN Tower in the background because that's where we first met.

By the time I realized I wanted to do it at the CNE, it was already August. We had to quickly search for a photographer since the exhibition was only around for two weeks. We were so excited when Vanessa told us she could squeeze us in two days before her vacation. I noticed her work on Instagram through someone's tagged images and really liked the way she captured her subjects and played with the light.

On the day of the shoot, the weather was so ideal, the lines were short for the rides and the golden hour worked in our favour.
