Golden Hour

In 20 days, it will mark mine and Jen's 7th year friendship anniversary!!! I already surpassed this mark with my four other girlfriends and at this rate, I think that "BFFL" term that I threw around carelessly when I was younger doesn't seem like an unrealistic promise to keep anymore!

The last time I saw this bohemian girl was two and a half months ago when she came over to help me film the first scene of my documentary of my grandma! Even though we haven't seen each other during that duration, it didn't mean we stopped communicating! Woop woop!!!

It was a great evening hanging with my best friend, we managed to snap a few quick shots during the golden hour,

before the night spilled over and we had to run inside after 20 minutes because I was getting bitten to death... like the usual!!!!!

Oh yeah! I asked my dad to trim (TRIM!!!) my hair when Thiya left on Monday night and yeah... his definition of trim vs. mine seems to be different??? Not gonna lie, it's so much easier to maintain my hair now!

If only controlling myself from not scratching my body was this easy too... Ugh!!!

A few days ago, my sister was complaining about how I rarely...

show my face in my blog posts anymore... even though it's my personal blog! She mentioned how there would be blog posts with only photos of my friends/family and none of me. Thing is, I don't really like seeing pictures of myself... I guess you could say I have a low selfie-steem!! Ha ha ha

I'm working on it though! My best friend Thiya also noticed that too, so yesterday when we were hanging out, she basically hogged my camera and took a whole bunch of photos of me!!! Oh man, it felt weird to be on the other side of the camera. I really didn't know how to pose????!

While Thiya was snapping photos of me, she was rambling about how I always make her go on some sort of adventure with me when she comes over,

"You know Cindy, you're the only friend I come home having grass stains on my pants all the time.

You're like the girl they sing about in songs and the girl I watch in movies."

After she said that, I couldn't help but hold the same smile in all my photos.

Ever since I met Joy's friends at her 18th birthday jam,

we have all been keeping in touch either through Facebook, Twitter or Tumblr! Joy and her friends would make plans and they always tried to invite me whenever they could! (Sweetest people ever!)

With that being said, Patrick invited me to hang with them at his place last Friday! The night basically consisted of pizza, indie music, Cranium and I can't forget... two hours of playing Mafia -

possibly one of the most addictive/amusing games ever!!!

I finally got to wear my white skort last night for Jere's belated birthday dinner at Pickle Barrel!

Maddy picked us all up in her whip to buy some sparklers, a lighter and candles before making our way to the restaurant to celebrate with nachos and calamari.

After Jeremy blew out the candles on his chocolate Godiva cheesecake, the crew had to get him an ice cream cake at Dairy Queen before heading to the park for his actual celebration!

The night couldn't have ended better with sparklers, blasting music, cruising around, late night chats in our old high school parking lot and lots of photos to remember!

This photo is for you, David!

May your year be filled with lots of happiness, Jerebear!

Lawn Mower

Have you ever thought about the first things you would grab if your house was caught on fire?

Those are one of the random thoughts I get when I'm laying in bed late at night and I remember the first things that automatically came into my mind was my camera and my charm bracelet!

I still remember that mini heart attack I got when I thought my bracelet fell off my wrist!! My life.

Not literally, but it's one of the things I treasure a lot from my sister. As for my camera... you guys won't believe what happened on Friday night... I plumped down on my bed and I forgot that my lens was also laying on my bed... and it bounced off my bed once I sat (Wow, so fat) and it broke in half!!!

I didn't overreact really... since I got a three year warranty on it! I asked Riri if he could drive me to Future Shop the following day to get a replacement but he took them out of my hands and before I knew it...

it was fixed in the next hour!!!

My cousin Linda brought her cute little boys, Ethan and Eli (and Eli's lawnmower) over today and it was my first time using the lens again since it fell apart!

We spent the afternoon visiting two parks, trying Mainsha for the first time (Megan, I finally tried it... after how many years??! Hahaha) and did a mini photoshoot, y'know...the usual!

My specialty is taking candid photos... or fine... you can say I'm good at taking creeper photos! Hahahaha

As of right now, my lens seems to be functioning the same since the drop and I tried shooting in manual mode for the first time today!!!

It gives me so much more control over the shutter speed, aperture and lighting!

Ok maybe that's why it's called manual. Hah!!
