Here are a few photos that I've snapped on my phone while I was out and about with my friends this month! ๐Ÿ˜€ I've frequented Schmaltz Appetizing for their bagels and tried beignets for the first time at La Sociรฉtรฉ.

Madelle and I had lunch at Figo and trekked to Craque de Creme for creme brรปlรฉe and macarons!!! ๐Ÿ˜

Joycelyn and I hung out last Friday and had brunch at Baddies, which we do not recommend. I mean, if you want a cool photo for the gram, yes. If you want a delicious and filling meal, carry on. ๐Ÿ˜„

This year, Daniel and I weren't sure if we should celebrate our anniversary at The One Eighty or Miku. We decided to go with Miku because there were more reviews raving about their food, and we realized that's way more important than being able to see the Toronto skyline! ๐Ÿ˜„

After reading and hearing so many great things about this place, I was super stoked when we were able to get a last minute reservation! ๐Ÿ˜€

You can really see the care that went into each dish and taste the freshness and quality in their sushi. At this point, I feel like I can't even go back to all-you-can-eat sushi. I've been spoiled!!! ๐Ÿ˜ฉ The place was so fancy that they even served us two types of soy sauce! Daniel was like, "Imagine the only difference is that one has lesser sodium than the other." ๐Ÿ˜„ ... ๐Ÿ˜ ...

They even gave us tips on which pieces to dip in the sauce and which ones to just savour alone. I'm not really a fan of tobiko, but the sushi was so good that it masked the flavour of that!

After dinner, Daniel compared the sushi here to what he had in Japan, but for a fraction of the price?!?! I guess this means I gotta book a flight to Japan asap!!!

Calligraphy Workshop

Oh boy, this month was hectic!!!! I had so many things due every week, and having a newborn niece around did not help with my productivity. I'm just so mesmerized by her!!! ๐Ÿ˜✨❤️

Although she spends 90% of the time sleeping, she is still so entertaining to watch! She makes like 20 different expressions and always find a way to wiggle her hands out of her swaddle and have them up by her cheeks when she's sleeping. There were so many times when she woke herself up because she accidentally slapped herself. ๐Ÿ˜‚

Before I got bombarded with so many assignments, I felt like I had everything under control last month! I was working 25 hours a week, finding time to workout 3-4 times a week and getting enough sleep every night. Life was gucci!!!! ๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป

I even found time to attend a beginners calligraphy workshop with my friend, Alpha! The last time I touched calligraphy was back in high school. Since then, I've respected people who could do this because I know how much patience and practice it takes.

The workshop took place inside this cute succulent store! I really liked how small the group was because we got a lot of one-on-one time with the instructor, who was so down-to-earth and skilled! (Ok duh Cindy, that's why she's running the workshop.)

I would definitely recommend taking a class with her if you're interested in learning calligraphy and to check out her booth (B49) at the One of a Kind Show this week! Thanks again Alpha for inviting me!!! ๐ŸŒธ

Auntie Simba

I don't think you guys are ready to hear the most exciting news that I've ever announced on my blog!!!!!!! It all happened so fast and so unexpectedly that it feels like I'm living in a dream right now. So on Tuesday night, my sister went to the hospital...

... to give birth to the most beautiful little human being, MY NIECE!!!!! ❤️ My heart was bursting with so much happiness and gratitude when I first laid my eyes on her. It literally felt like love at first sight guys. I'm completely smitten.

I honestly didn't realize how possible it was to love someone so much and want to give them the world. She's definitely going to be my new arts & crafts, sightseeing and Costco snacking buddy. (Bye Daniel) I can't wait to be there for all of her firsts, like the first sighting of a ladybug! First taste of lemon! First sip of bubble tea!!! So far, the only firsts I've experienced were her sneezes. In my face. Twice. And it was awesome!!!!!!!!!

I want to give the parents time to adjust to this new chapter in their life and respect their privacy, so I'm going to hold off on sharing photos of her on here! In the meantime, here are a few photos that I shot at the design expo last month that I finally got around to editing. ๐Ÿ˜„

Three Years

This year, we celebrated your birthday, kept up with our annual traditions of visiting the Distillery District, night market and CNEchecked out many poke places, tried out new restaurants, spent a long weekend in Vancouver, went on several double dates, gave you a new tattoo, celebrated my new internship position, did a chocolate making workshop, decorated ice cream bars, spent an amazing week in Punta Cana, tried charcoal ice cream, shared a boozy slush bucket, won big at the Rec Room, checked out the Toronto sign, went on a family cottage trip, split a doshi, munched on lots of apples, celebrated my sister's pregnancy, explored the zoo, and discovered hidden gems in this city.

Thank you for all these amazing memories babe!!!! You already knowww I'll be renewing my yearly subscription again๐Ÿ’›
